I think your talking about quests. They are the things that pop up in the journal book.

void AddQuest(string& asName, string& asNameAndTextEntry);
Adds a quest to the player's journal.
asName - the internal name to be used
asNameAndTextEntry - entry in the .lang file. Must start with “Questfckg_QUOT_, end with _fckg_QUOTText”, and be in category “Journal”!
