Entity failure beyond a certain point

I'm more interested in finding out why such a limitation exists than receiving a solution (as the workaround is blatantly obvious, though inconvenient at this stage of development). I'm not entirely sure how far you have to be for the interactive properties to stop working, though it is somewhere around where the global point light does not shine on all sides of a room. I wonder if a full conversion can cure this.
