I had not idea that confucianism was about seking enlightenment. Could you have confused it with taoism or buddhism?
Depends on how you interpret enlightenment. It doesn't really matter what you call it; actually I'm certain Confucius himself never specifically used that term, but it's the way I read into it. I'm not talking about spiritual or absolute enlightenment anyway, just the idea of improving yourself constantly and dispensing with pointless BS.
