Whooooaaaa Ok. I barley just checked out this thread (haven't checked it out ever since the day I created this thread) and all of a sudden there's a debate about piracy?

Listen guys, we don't need to argue or debate about this. All I said was "there's no tutorials" and "I tried Blender" and all that and someone else recommending Blender (Rapture). That's it. Then somebody else just brought up something about another program and that, as said by him, he doesn't make excuses about piracy. Sure if there was another program that I could use which would make modeling much easier, I would use it. However, if it has to come to piracy and, keep this in mind, I have NO experience with modeling, then why should I get it? Also, surely all of us has committed something with piracy at least ONCE. If you sincerely have not done ANYTHING that involves piracy, then jolly good for you, stay like that. If you have, then oh damn well. A ton of people have done it, and it'll just keep going and going. That's life. Piracy will ALWAYS exist with almost any program that comes out.

Blender, as seen from a lot of modelers around here, is being used by pretty much everyone. Blender is even the program "noob" modelers use (like me, but I still need to work out the kinks). Yes I know about the tutorials, thank for you linking me to them and/or telling me that there actually are tutorials (again, sorry if I seemed stubborn and lazy), and I'll try my best to learn modeling. And, before anyone says anything, NO I am not supporting piracy. Don't get my words mixed up. I'm just dropping this debate from here on out.

Please, let's just drop the piracy argument/debate, alright guys? Or the "this program is better at doing this than this other program (Maya vs. Blender)" arguments.

Let's just stay on topic, no?

However, I do thank you all for recommending me a couple of other programs, but I might ether stick to Blender or, as Statyk said, create a student license for Maya.

Oh and someone asked about what type of gun I'd want. I would like it to be one of the pistols from around the 80s-90s (or like the gun in the picture above). Sorry for not stating that earlier. But one exception of a "modern" handgun would be the Glock.
