I hope so too, but I've heard some worrying things about the game. Getting rid of the guy who voiced Hitman in all the previous games is a bad move IMHO.
Yes, David Bateson. It's disgraceful how they dropped both him and Vivienne McKee (who voiced Diana) with no explanation, neither to the fans nor the actors themselves. Still, I applaud the new combat mechanics, cover system and acrobatics. The latter two are something Hitman has always desperately needed, and the first one just makes combat less awkward to those who want to play it like that (personally I'm going for a suit only/all zeroes run of it when it comes out). Also the "instinct mode" may sound stupid, but the reason for it is totally commendable (which is they want to have NPCs that have lives and react differently to seeing 47, instead of just an army of mooks that raises your suspicion bar, like in the last games). They seem to have put a lot of effort into the story too and the levels, so far, sound pretty well designed.
So I'm pretty fired up. There are some warning signs but overall I think it has the potential to be great. I sure hope so anyway, I really don't want another disappointment like Splinter Cell: Conviction.
