Making scripts areas in other shapes? & removing part of floor/roof

2 Questions,

1: Is it possible to remove a square piece of the floor or the roof so that i can get through my hatch?

2: All script areas are box like. is it possible to make shapes like triangles or other shapes?
(of course it can be solved by making several box like areas.)
