Plotwise, can Brutes be killed?

Subject Delta with his badass drill vs. Brute with his sword. I'd pay to see that fight scene.

Assume a simple one-on-one battle between a Brute and a human, where the human could use any weapon of their choice. How powerful would this weapon have to be in order to kill the Brute? Do you think it can realistically die by a weapon?
