I said it's one of the things that identify moderators as moderators.. I didnt say its the ONLY thing that identifies moderators as moderators..
Moderators don't need custom titles to be identifiable. Moderators on most forums just have the user title "moderator" which is sufficient. How would you feel if police officers were able to officially change their title from "officer" to something like "his lordship" or "his grace" and that it would be official? The generic title "officer" and their blue uniform is enough for them to be easily identifiable (depends on the country; it's black in Iceland). Anyway this is really not a big issue, I just don't agree with you that it's necessary for only moderators to have custom titles.
