True, but alien life doesn't have to be intelligent. For all we know, we could be the best we have.(Damn.)

How do random species show up here? A bit of evolution may be involved,
but these new ones do not come out of nowhere. It's not "poof", new
animal... What makes these "abductions" any different from us?

You just answered your own question. Evolution is a pretty solid explaination. We can trace most species back to their roots.

Who's to say aliens aren't doing the same thing to us? That WE are their mice?

It's hard to imagine that they would be so successful at hiding from us if they were.

Yeah, some people may be lying about being abducted, but I'm sure there are a few out there that may have.

I live by the philosophy of "Screenshot or it didn't happen". Thus I consider all claims to be false until proven otherwise by established science.
