Thousands of men are sexually assaulted, but instead of being told that they were asking for it like female victims, they are told that they should have liked that violation, that it's no big deal, that they shouldn't be complaining. The only reason spousal abuse numbers show women on the receiving end is because if a man revealed that he had been abused by his wife he would be shamed and ignored.
