A little disappointment after announcement of new Amnesia

Literally the only similarity between the two games I've seen is that they recycle assets and they put "Amnesia" in the title. But that's it.

Exactly. AMfP have a new story, new setting, new characters, new enemies, new sounds and music...you get the idea. The only thing the two games seems to have in common as of yet is that they take place in the same universe and therefore there might be the occasional reference to the previous title.
So I think it's quite safe to say that you won't be served the same meal. And since you used food to describe this: different meals can still use the same ingredients without tasting the same, keep that in mind.
