Oh friends, not these tones of pitiful war, death, hunger and putrid pestilence!
Rather, let us raise our rightful voices in more pleasing.
And more joyful sounds!

Joy, beautiful spark of the gods! Daughter of Elysium!
We entered Alighieri's final circle, drunk with the undeserved fires of prometheus.
To rouse you oh heavenly one, From the site of your past sin!
Let your magic reunite.
What custom strictly divided.
All men shall finally become brothers.
Where your gentle wing rest.
Save us from falling like Ozymandias.
