RE: Amnesia AMFP SPOILER THREAD *ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK*

1337 painting spoilerz.

Leda and the Swan already discussed before. Strong bestiality theme going on there.

The first shown painting in the vid is a girl with a dog. The painter is Charles Burton Barber. "Charles Burton Barber (1845 – 1894), was an English painter who attained great success with his paintings of children and their pets." Innocent enough but strong human vs animal theme here.

Then there is the main hall where there are a lot of paintings.

The first one (that PDP looked for a while) is Casual Ward by Luke Fildes. Fildes shared his grandmother's concern for the poor and in 1869 joined the staff of The Graphic newspaper, an illustrated weekly edited by the social reformer, William Luson Thomas. Fildes shared Thomas' belief in the power of visual images to change public opinion on subjects such as poverty and injustice. So rich vs poor and capitalist vs worker theme here.

The second on the wall is The Bean Feast by Jan Steen. He was a Dutch genre painter of the 17th century. The Bean Feast has kind of a double meaning. The term originally denoted an annual dinner given to employees by their employers, where beans and bacon were regarded as an indispensable dish. So worker vs capitalist here again. And in other meaning it generally just refers to a party with plentiful food and drink. So maybe gluttony and greed here too.
