Releasing on Desura?

Hi,

We're about to release our mod on ModDB, but wondering if the file type matters for publishing on Desura? We don't want people to run into errors by uploading a .rar, .zip or .7z or any other compression file type that is not supported.

Never been through this process before, so uncertain how to get it on Desura correctly. We already have a ModDB page set-up, but again, which file type?

I did do a search, but no relevant answers came up.

I've seen on Desura there's a thing called MCF file. Does this apply to Amnesia mods too?
