Lightning guide?

So i've been busy for some hours now for the first part of my CS, but i have gotten stuck on some places. I have placed pillars on some places in some rooms, and on them, there is a lightning..

I want the shadow from the pillar to show on the oppisit side of the lightning..

I'm almost surten i did read some brilliant guide about ligning and shadows on this forum, but i can't find the thread (it may not even exist? Tongue )
