So I didn't really catch the true purpose of the machine. Could somebody explain it to me? (I'm from Finland and I couldn't understand the letters very well for all the big words they were using)

At least two purposes:

1. Conversion of Manpigs to create a work force. This purpose may have been retired after the machine gained sentience, but that's just my speculation.
2. Slaughtering of people on industrial scale.(Possibly in the manner of aztec sacrifice as indicated by notes pointing out that the Aztecs may not have spilt enough blood to avoid the apocalyspe and that the machine will spill enough.)
