RE: Is community inactive lately?
Well for quite a long time I was a part of rather big STALKER game community. And yeah there was strange gaps of inactivity for 1 or 2 months. But in general it was a very lively community. Until it was announced there will be no more STALKER, no sequel, all developers are fired, etc. That was turning point when community begun to slowly die. And I understand that. It's not interesting to stick to community when you know for sure that engine would never be updated, no new sequels, prequels, whatever.
But here we see totally different situation. SOMA is announced, HPL3 is announced, everything is as cool as might be. And this 1 or 2 years before SOMA is released is just a great chance to show to Frictional what community is interested in. I think that's very important. I do not know but I suppose and hope that most popular mods which would come out in the 2014 might in fact influence on SOMA, on Frictional guys. So... ehh... too many words as always )))
