If Amnesia has weapons, it's going to be sword.

But as I've hang around these forums (for pretty long time now) and read through developers texts, I believe there won't be weapons of any kind.

One official thing you all should know: Overture did NOT have weapons. These, so called "weapons", were planned to be tools, nothing more. People just started to use them as a weapons. This wasn't the plan developers had in their mind so they decided to remove all tools and dynamite, so that the only solution is running away from enemies. Not attacking back at them.

I think the tools would've been fine if the enemies couldn't be killed by them, just stunned. In Black Plague, I would often chuck a heavy object at the head of a monster to slow it down.
