I found that the format is not important, the image mostly fails at odd resolutions.
At resolutions from 505x351 to 505x360 the image looks bad (I just tested)
And at 505x354 it crashes the game.

But at 508x351, 508x352, 508x353 it's fine.
Also at these resolutions:

That's as far as I got. Still no conclusion.
