But by making pots illegal, aren't we encouraging the black market? People who can't get a pot license would turn to homemade pottery, which often contains harmful contaminants and could be made to be much more dangerous than the kind sold legally.

But if we make them legal, we're encouraging those pot-making hooligans to continue their dangerous behaviour!
