You can disable smileys if you do a full edit. There's a check box.

Anyway, perhaps that map simply doesn't open with HPL2. AMFP was made in HPL2.5 in a sense, because it was using an updated version of the engine so not everything will work the same. Try going to your documents folder > HPL2 > LevelEditor.log and paste that here. It might give a clue.

It used to open up before, like i said. And all other maps in the game open up with the editor. i will try to find that file.
