I'm interested in knowing how your download works. Did you have any problems getting the serial/key, did you have any problems downloading, did you get a good download speed and did the download work as intended (could you install the game ).

login went fine
got both keys
downloaded the Linux version at around 3000kb/s (my account max)
key got accepted by the installer
installation went fine, menu entries where made under KDE4

so I am off now to be never heard off Hope this will become a huge success for you.

Why cant the people who bought the game form steam not be able to preload the game ?

I would think you need to ask Steam ?
