Almost every video on the internet has those subtitles even though I would have understand the point even without them.

I think this is pretty much always due to the fact that the poster is a little kid who. Either does not understand what makes a good and bad video, or they want people to think they are an adult so they add subtitles rather than voice so no one will hear their prepubescent voice...

I could be wrong, but thats my assumption. It's like those people who type in notepad to explain a tutorial rather than talk you through it.
