Linux Beta Demo and Feedback (1.0.1 Final Out)

Are you running the x86 version of Ubuntu or x86_64? Also what hardware are you running it on? (cpu, video, sound, etc..)

2 others have reported this error. And it is quite odd.
I'm getting ready to test it myself in Ubuntu 6.10 x86.

I'm running the x86 version

the hardware is:
intel core2duo on an asrock board with via chipset(its a board with pci-e and agp, also ddr and ddr2 ram slots)
2 gb ram in dual channel mode
realtek onboard sound(using this as standard), also Soundblaster Live!
agp nvidia 6800GT with latest official drivers
