I am kind of insulted that someone would suggest I'm not aware that those two endings are ultimately the same.

The only reason I consider them different is because of how you get there..so in a sense they are framed differently.

But they still end the same way.

Anyway it's probably mostly because of how I look at the endings as Alexander, Daniel and Agrippa endings, instead of bad, revenge and good endings.
In the BRG-version a cells endings fits in it because the endings aren't tied specifically to the story.
In the ADA-version however each ending is tied to one of the main characters and thus there can't be another ending, only two ways to obtain the same.
