Hmm. Well maybe for a game like Amnesia, that concentrates so much on environment, atmosphere, and sound, it might be worth incorporating the sound occlusion. If it's not incredibly time-consuming. I mean, being so small, the Frictional guys probably had a ton of work to do as it is.
