RE: Psych experiment, Student in need of Level Creation Help

Not to discourage anyone from helping you, ExtinctSilence...but in my opinion this should be something you do on your own. Not just because it is wrong (in the eyes of the academia) to have someone do this work for you, but there are tutorials out there for basic camera movement commands, and the level editor is very simple and easy to learn. It took me the better part of a day to find my way around and learn what each tool did, and from there I was already building levels.

Quite frankly the hardest thing you'll have to do (aside from scripting) is FIND the actual objects you want to place in the editor to populate the level(s). If you do need help finding something, simply post back here on the forums. I'm sure many people here (myself included) would love to give you pointers, seeing as it seems like you're not looking to dive deeply into modding for this game. And on a similar note, the stuff you want scripted is very simple and easy to do, so finding help 'round these forums should be no trouble at all.

This is just my two cents, and if anyone wants to help this gentleman/-woman/-person then by all means do so. But the translation from your mind to the level will be clearest if you yourself build the levels. And you also run no risk of getting in trouble. Good luck with your project and with your studies Smile

P.S. If you do decide to take it upon yourself to build the levels check out the wiki pages. They should provide valuable information on how to build the basic geometry for your levels.
