A question for the developpers

Good afternoon all,

I have a question for the developpers about Penumbra : what was your first inspiration to create the game ?
I say that cause I recently watched the film The Hills Have Eyes 2 and I found it looked like Penumbra Overture : mines corridors and wood ladders to go to an upper or lower level...
What about ?
