Making A Grunt Dance

So here's what I want to do, make a grunt dance. It's only going to be for an intro, so nothing very complicated is going to happen, I simply want the player to see the grunt dance. So I thought the best way to go about this would be to make a copy of the grunt himself, and change the idle animation to him dancing. So then all I would have to do is make him ignore the player and he can stand there and dance. Big Grin

I've found an idle animation for him in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\amnesia the dark descent\entities\enemy\servant_grunt\animations\idle.anm"

So am I right in saying all I would have to do is change that idle animation, to one of him dancing? (There is also an animation called "idle.dae_anim" to which I don't know it's purpose)

And here's the big question, in what program (is there a free one?) will I be able to change that animation to a dancing one? (which I will make myself)

I have never done 3-D modelling animation, hopefully I can work it out.

Thanks. =]
