If you're gonna present a story you're proud of, I recommend doing it in a more interactive way. People who've played Amnesia stories for a while do get kinda tired of notes. If the whole story consists of them, they could miss it all.

Once you're closing up to finishing the project, I recommend perhaps trying to get some voice actors to make the story more interesting to check out. If the story is just an optional detail the players can look at, then many will miss it.

So yeah, try to present the story in a way that captures the players attention. This is particularly important in the beginning, because I'm sure you know how big of a deal first impressions make.
