I didn't finished the game yet

it's not an enigma problem, just about the story : about Dr Amabel and the Clarence illusions : the subtitles gone too quick and I didn't read all

I'd like to know if Dr Amabel was real/alive ?

I'd like some precisions about that but nothing else : I didn't finished the game yet so thanks
