Oh... my... God! You are not into video gaming or joking me.
The crowbar is a reference to the probably most known video-gaming action hero ever: Gordon Freeman of the Half Life series. The first weapon you got in the game was a crowbar and ever since other games have tried to copy the geek-factor by putting wrenches into their games instead of knives or simple fists.

I do know that, but assuming almost everybody else would see that connection by themselves I only included the inside-of-Penumbra-reference in my post.
If you re-read it, you will see that I said "but I couldn't help giggling".
