Turning static model into functioning monster

Hello i have a file that contains a static prop when i opened it up in the model editor and changed its type from static prop to Enemy_Grunt designed its stats placed it in my map and launched the game. however when i loaded it up the when the monster noticed me it turned to its side. why is this? also it did not move or attack just that one quick slap to its side. It did play the music that it normal plays when a monster is looking at you and sanity vision was working it just wouldn't move or attack. now it IS unanimated so if it did move it would seem like a moving statue but it wont. i was wondering if any one could tell me what to do to get it to hunt follow path nodes move chase and so on and so forth. If any one wants to take a crack at animating it or trying to solve this for themselves ill gladly pm them the model files.
