I can think of a few reasons:

-AMFP was too short to fully explore its story and themes.

-Characters were uninteresting/unrelatable.

-Goofy moments and plot points.(More pig, moooore pig!)

-The ending was pretty cliche.

Still hasn't gotten over the loss of wubwub...
