I prefer atmospheric/ambient music myself, music that actually serves a purpose. Either to set a scene, mood or fit a particular scenario, or because it reminds me of something. As such a lot of my music comes from videogames (usually composed by Jesper Kyd, such as the Hitman and Assassin's Creed soundtracks) as well as a few animes (the Hellsing anime & OVAs in particular). The actual style of music wavers from this to this and anything in between such as this, this, this, this, this, this, etc. Y'know, proper music.

Lately I've been switching between a few tracks from the Devil May Cry 4 OST and a few pieces from the German oper(ett)a Der Freischütz, despite the juxtaposition between the two.

As for "classical rock", does this count?
