Hey everyone,

As my only contribution for the HPL2 modding community, I'm porting the Labs assets from SOMA to Amnesia. It's a nice assets pack and it's not that hard to use (compared to other assets from SOMA).

What does the pack include:

Lab static objects (walls, welders, ceiling, etc)
Some lamps
Some chairs
Working slidedoors
I'm still updating this pack, make sure to report any bugs if you find any.

If anyone wants to help me with porting/fixing bugs, it will be very appreciated!

What's still needed to be done:

Fix some materials
Add more lamp versions with different colors
Port more furniture
Port some sounds
Add crush death script for the slidedoors + fix closing sound bug

Download on ModB

A Machine for Pigs custom mod (the only one in existence as of my knowledge) i released a while back but forgot to share, so most people might have missed it since it's not listed under TDD mods, and it'd be meaningless to create a new category on the forums for one release. Here it is now if anyone would be interested! Machine for Pigs installation is needed to play the campaign. Instructions in the download and on the modpage.

PLEASE WRITE COMMENTS ON THE MODPAGE, since i check that more often.

//And through my work, i will always be remembered, and my existence remains eternal. Non Omnis Moriar.//

My custom story like project for AMFP, a visulization of what i think the Machine for Pigs' gameplay should have been. It continues the original game's events in a parallel timeline as a detective's case story. The mod was first released in September 2015, 2 years after the release of the original game. It keeps the atmosphere of the base game, but focuses more on terror, restores interactions and brings back harder puzzles and the challenge the original game lacked a bit. I'm aware i re-used some structures from the original developer maps, but the thing is intentional, the main point of this mod is to give a picture how i imagined this sequel to TDD could be any better.

The mod is soon to be released.

Plot premise:
Ethan Roscoe sets sail for the desolate Madden Island - the new home of his cult-fanatic twin brother, Clyde. He hasn't given a sign of life for way too long, so Ethan decides to pay him a visit.

This mod features:
-Plenty of new assets
-Original music made specially for this CS
-New potions
-Photos as part of gameplay
-Enhanced, yet simplistic crafting system
-Tinderboxes getting back a crucial gameplay role
-Never seen before, subtle hint system
-Levels which are actually relevant to the story
-Rarely featured environments, such as sea, coasts, mountain woods and lakes

This mod does NOT feature:
-Poorly lit maps;
-Annoying sanity drain;
-An excuse of a story with no clear purpose;
-Poofing monsters coming out of closets;
-Teleporting naked guys shoving themselves at your screen;
-Teleporting-behind-you knight armours;
-You know what, no teleporting at all;
-Any other cringeworthy jumpscares either;
-Areas as plain as a pizza with no topping;
-Reading books (I mean, come on, my last mod had notes that were three-pages long);
-Rare monster encounters (Previously there were only three over the course of the three-hours-long mod)

Good evening. I'm here to present you guys an non-official European Spanish retranslation & dubbing mod for Amnesia: The Dark Descent and the Justine expansion, presented to you by Rodol Pérez and myself, Víctor González.

This project started in the late 2015 as the final dissertation for Rodol, a translation student that wanted to do a full localisation of those games. The official translation is decent, but we think it can be much, much better.

He enlisted the help of 17 fellow voice actors from Spain to achieve a full dub, and presented the "first" version in September 2016, achieving a very high grade. After that, I've been remixing the voices and finding out the final details that were needed to make this a polished product.
Synopsis:

Somewhere in England, deep in the heart of Carr Forest lies a huge mansion owned by a large family of wealthy European Aristocrats. The owners rarely venture from inside their safe haven, yet gladly welcome many visitors to share with them an experience in this magnificent landmark.

A darkness hangs over this place however. Some claim visitors never return from their visits, while others tell stories of deformed creatures and vile spirits haunting the mansion and surrounding forest.

The story is set in the late 1920's. You play as a man named Edward. You wake up in the forest, lost and confused, unsure how you got there. You are cold and out of breath, like you have been running from something... all you can do is follow the path and hope it takes you to safety.
Amnesia patch 1.3.1 required due to AMFP assets and scripts being heavily used throughout.
The Amnesia 1.3.1 patch is a little buggy, myself and others have found that modifying settings in the main_settings.cfg and user_settings.cfg files causes random crashes in some maps. Setting these files to default values/deleting and allowing Amnesia to re-create the files should solve any crashes.

Hiya guys.

So a while back, Flawless and I were working on a mod that was meant to become a fairly involved FC, but due to time and circumstances and personal goings-on, it is now being released.

It's not as in-depth as I'd have liked, but it's complete enough that the main focus of what I had wanted to achieve is present and accounted for.

I have no plans to revisit this in the future, though I am not ruling out the possibility.

Here is the link and thank you all for your time. Especially you, Flawless. You kick ass. <3

This Amnesia project aims to create a unique and interesting experience. It provides the player with a sandbox environment, where a total freedom is given to the player. It is very similar to other building/survival games, but in the game we all know and love.

I'm not doing it to rip of other game mechanics, I'm doing it, because I love sandbox games and love Amnesia even more.

The Custom Story is currently in the Prototyping stage, I'm working on the base code and many key features are already implemented. The feature section on this page will be updated.
I am, however, going to release a working stable version, that will be frequently updated.

Update: 2016-06-29

Added entity randomization as well, the final project can be downloaded at moddb.

There is also an online repository for anybody interested in looking at the source code, see link below.

https://github.com/Nordic-Coding/AmnesiaRandomizer

####################################################################################################

Update: 2016-05-03

Added a Graphical-UI and a built in back-up feature for the project making it a lot easier to use compared to the earlier version. A test run/instruction of this new version can be seen below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ha2uJxR...e=youtu.be

The release is appended to this thread but can also be found at moddb.

Note: Due to the built in backup feature it now requires around 2 GB of free hard-drive space to run.

Update: 2016-05-02

Yes i know, as if Amnesia could become more nightmarish than it already is. Anyway during this weekend I programmed a randomizer code for amnesia which grabs assets within the common/Amnesia The Dark Descent folder and then swaps assets randomly creating an hilariously terrifying result. See the video below for a test run of this tool.

With the latest update i also added the ability for the user to splice in custom .png, .jpg and .jpeg images into the gamefiles creating a less horrifying and more... well i don't really know result. Click the link below to see that result.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBikf7vLeoU

Please post questions and suggested improvements in the thread. This program has so far only been tested by one other person I know and may therefore not work optimally on all platforms yet. Therefore it is important that you post problems if you have any.

Once the code gets a bit tidier and includes some more functionality i'll post it at github for everybody to play around with.

The latest and previous versions can be downloaded via the attachments to this thread (the latest zip file seems to large to upload, use http://www.moddb.com/mods/amnesia-nightm...-engine-v2 instead), make sure that you read the readme properly before activating the program.

Have fun!
Things you couldn't explain.
Terrifying Worlds...
weird moving things on an unknown planet.
Erupting volcano's
Funnier then funny easter eggs!
You have choices, Secret abilities.
Fly, go through walls, use your "See" ability to see things no one can see.

I also, try to make a lot of good scripting.
I can create my own models, so I make some if I need something. Or I just export some.
I am trying to put a lot of things into 1 map, by doing that, the map gives me more idea's for my other maps.
The story is in modbb.
I am going to update the story line sometime later.
Don't think the pictures is everything my custom story have.
the pictures are nothing. not evne 1/10 of my custom story.
my custom story takes place in: the world war 2, normal, where we are now. and, the future.
I want to tell you 1 thing, in the future, you won't "walk" that much anymore.
