Is there any way to have a good development environment?

I have this problem with Amnesia where, if I alt-tab out of it, my cursor becomes spotwelded to the top left corner of my screen and I can only navigate my computer via arrow keys and shortcuts. Is there any way that I can build my level, write my script and then quickly alt-tab into amnesia to test things without this mouse problem?
