New people means more modding gets done, more free content for you! YAY!
When it is true what you're writing, what the hell is the sense of this poll?

There are some people who think it's dying and everyone has to accept that.
Otherwise the "Yes"-Button should be removed.

''The forums are dying'' is not a matter of oppinion, it's a matter of fact.
That's why the poll's title has a question mark.
And now I'm going to use the biggest asshole statement imaginable.
"It's your opinion that it is a fact."

Well, opinions are facts. It is a fact that your opinion is your opinion. Hurrah!

No, that is a pretty crude misrepresentation -- stirred by random 'word turning'.
While it is true that factually an opinion is simply just that, that does not in any way make the statement "opinions are facts" liable. What I am saying is that there is a definite line dividing the two, but we hold opinions of where that line is and what lays on either side. I doubt you gave that statement much thought other than an easy 1-Up.
You still win though. As I have know just wasted one minute and twenty-seven seconds of my life. (That is if I can complete this added side note before my estimated time runs out.) (Damn, off by two seconds, or now 11.)

RE: Is Frictional Games forum dying?

For something to die, it first has to live.

Pretty sure a forum does not constitute a life form judging by the fact that it meets only a few of the criteria, and even then only barely.

So I shall instead assume you meant 'dying' figuratively. Quite the opposite, it would seem. There's a lot of new custom stories and creators popping up (of which the quality or qualities of the former I shall not comment on), which you can tell just by hitting up the development support forum...other forums don't see as much activity but there's a thread here and a thread there.

It does suck to see almost every thread turn into a "fight". Or give birth to some sort of disagreement. Or give berth for some sort of argument. Take it to PMs, I say.

No this forum is very much alive, much like a chicken without its head is still "alive". At least until it dies.

Now, this is an honest question, do you really think that there are many fights in this forum?

Many, many threads come to mind, sir.

When a respectful and courteous discussion dissolves into a hit-and-run fest involving personal insults, yeah that's pretty much a fight. And a bunch of those happen.

Respectful disagreement is a true rarity in the Internet.

I'd have to take your words for it. I mostly spend time here, in Off-Topic and in Penumbra General Discussion. I rarely check the other subforums so I guess I miss most of the fights.
