You're not all alone, I think her stuff for Dear Esther is great but I haven't heard much else so I'm not sure how well she can do other types of music and I'm a bit sceptical on how well she'll do the noisy horror music.
That too, but in general the music for Dear Esther is pretty boring. It's not bad per se, it's just stagnant. All of the themes are severely underdeveloped IMO.

They are supposed to be minimal though, really just ambient background music that kind of reminds you of sad things, not an orchestral score or catchy soundtrack, I mean the Amnesia soundtrack is minimalistic in the same way to be honest. Though to be honest I love when games have music that really sticks out, for example see the original Fable soundtrack:

Yes, we haven't heard much of her horror-music but according to AAMFP trailers, it's not going to be bad imo.
And there's this song from horror mod Korsakovia. I think it's pretty good.

If the music is anything like this, then it's going to be absolutely amazing. I'm not sceptical anymore.
nope. dear esther ost is amazing , while penumbra and amnesia ost was okay, nothing memorable imo. so im sure Jessica Curry will do a better job than Mikko hopefully.
silent hill 2 has the best soundtrack, hope the sound design and music is dark , creepy and disturbing.

Of course, Dear Esther should have metal music to make you happy.

It being minimalistic has nothing to do with it, I just find the music flat-out boring. The Korsakova thing is terrible by the way.

Well, no matter what the music in AAMFP will be like, I'm glad I can always count on you to completely misinterpret everything I say.

Perhaps you've set your standards too high?
Although we must remember that it's all a matter of taste.
You can't expect everyone to like it.
