Brillant Marketing Idea (I.E. Android/Apple)
Meant for the creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Hello, my name is T. C. Munn (didn't want my full name on the internet) I'm almost 16 and live in Florida, USA.
I came up with a brilliant idea and I believe I may be the first to have it.
Amnesia available on smartphones/tablets.
I do not own amnesia for I do not have a computer with compatible software.
I was watching PewDiePie play Amnesia and was thinking "why isn't this on Android market/Apple store?"
The controls seem like the game would be easy to turn into a Droid/apple compatible game.
Thank-you for taking the time to read this, please don't steal my idea, and I hope this helps someone.
Awaiting feedback

Awaiting feedback The game is too graphic intensive for a tablet or iPhone or whatever. Unless they changed the graphics to something less intensive, I don't think it would work very well...
Also, I don't see how it the controls would work. On such a small screen for a Android and/or iPhone, the screen would be cramped and unless you had an iPad, there would be very little screen space to see the rooms or items in the room you are in.
I've come to learn to not fear the living, nor the dead... But the monsters that hide in closets.

RE: Brillant Marketing Idea (I.E. Android/Apple)
Have you seen a Droid formated game?
Movement on the left side
Turning on the right
There would, of course, be a crouch and inventory button
Extra controls:
Lantern - slide up/down middle
Pick up item - press it
Drop - tap held item
throw - double tap
sprint - there would be a sprint toggle button
It doesn't seem to complicated to me
and yes, unfortunately, the graphics would have to be heavily lowered
By "turning" I mean "looking (I.e. up, down, left and right)"
Awaiting more feedback

Once Nvidia's Tegra 3 is in there, it may just be possible

But it COULD be possible if ran on another engine capable of performing on a iOS or droid. I don't imagine this game being ran on the HPL2 or even HPL1 for a phone. I COULD see something perhaps like Unity or another engine that is simple, but could run the necessary controls you listed. It's all about gameplay and models. =]

Dude, just letting you know, this thought has entered me, my friends, and people I told about Amnesia's heads. I hate to break it to you, but you aren't the first to think of this.
However, you are the first to write about it (I think).
I will review all of your custom stories (when I find time!)!

Awaiting more feedback I don't mean complicated, I mean the screen would be hella cramped with buttons and stuff.
But the way you are putting it, it MIGHT work... But to be honest, the graphics being lowered might kill the immersion of the game...
I honestly, the way you are putting it for controls, am not against it, the only thing is I wouldn't be able to get it, but Frictional could make a fair bit more money for this I suppose...
And also, not to kill this idea or something, I believe Frictional said they wouldn't be porting any older games, only new games... :[

Amnesia is a game made for immersing.
You can't be immersed when playing smartphone games.
So, I think, this may could be good for Frictionals fast bucket, but not really to be a good game.
Smartphones are not for gaming.
