I can't wait to play and give feedback! Well, the maps only bear "vague" playability at this point, testing probably won't begin for some time.
That is unless you guys think you'd like to partially review the broken little demo which is still very subject to change. And, no, I'm not being sarcastic. What do you guys think?
@HumiliatioN: Ok, you're in!
EDIT: Also, as a minor update:
3/31/2012:
Work has begun on second map of the game. Standard building layout (Walls, doors, windows...) is complete. A few entities are also in place.

RE: Hell Awakening Prologue: The Dorm
Wow,Tanshaydar does not deserve that kind of hate guys. If he used Penumbra models, so what, if he created them, so what?! Either way, there is a lot of work in porting things from a very old, to a very new game, and its not a "drag and drop" kind of hard work. You are all so misinformed.
In any case, I will stay off that topic, as this topic is talking about a most promising looking story. I am very much enjoying how you were able to capture the setting of a small dorm complex. The staircase is wrapped around, and the dorms are tiny. Great work, I will be looking forward to this. -Added to watch list-

Still, I realize this may limit my imagination a bit, but since this is my first CS, I'd suppose getting used to the work environment is more important. I'll see if I can, for the main series, to get off some more original maps, even though there are still some settings pre-planned to be based of off my school still.
EDIT: I also get what you mean by tiny dorms. I mean...beds placed on top of closets! How cramped can you get? XD
Another thing worth noting is that decision to create this prologue, which wasn't present in the originally conceived main series plot-line, was also partially "fanservice" for my friends who also live in the dorm.
Gotta say, the fact that it takes place in the dorm is really going to attract loads more people from my school to play it, and probably even raise awareness of Amnesia overall at my school.

Not only your school. I'm staying at dorm (I've been staying at dorms for 9 years now), and my friends are also interested.

RE: Hell Awakening Prologue: The Dorm
Sorry for the double post, here's another update:
Work isn't coming along as fast as I'd like owing mostly to the fact I've got tons of things to be busy with at school. That, and the fact that I forgot to bring my sketches of my school's layout home this weekend.
4/7/2012:
Second map is overall 95% complete (This includes both mapping, and scripting). Here are some screens of it:
Study Hall
TV Room

I don't think it's necessary I may work with
RotatePropToSpeed(string& asName, float afAcc, float afGoalSpeed, float afAxisX, float afAxisY, float afAxisZ, bool abResetSpeed, string& asOffsetArea);
or mess with joints and make it a wheel

Poor kids sitting at the back watching those Tvs :>
On a more serious note:
- I'd suggest you create more contrast in your lighting. The room looks at little bland at the moment, due to the lighting.
- Head over to
http://cgtextures.com/ and fetch some new textures for the walls, floors and ceiling - it's super simple and superfast You could make them all planes. Just make sure they are "tiled" textures. If you'd go with this you could model out some simple shapes which you "add to" the wall - giving it some 3D instead of being a plane.
