Your efforts at a custom story are genuinely refreshing. Though I'm happy to see this is becoming a very interesting mod, I'm also disappointed that you stopped it's production as a stand-alone game. It would've been interesting to see it on it's own, rather than a modification.
I'll subscribe to this thread. I'd like to see more!

Well as he said in the first post, developing your own engine as well as a game is a lot to ask for, for a free product at least. I agree with you, but to be honest theres enough leeway with this engine to create a very different experience to base Amnesia, an it is a fantastic engine, I'm looking forward to seeing how far that can be pushed.

Hey, why don't Amnesia sell their engines? For standalone games.

There are a lot of better options on the market, like unity3d and unreal engine 3. Besides frictional games is not an engine company, they specialize in making games and frankly the licensing stuff, making the tools as accessible as possible etc etc would be too much.

This looks awesome. Custom materials in stories are so hard to come by, because not many people are talented enough/organized enough to put together something that the game doesn't deliver right to their fingertips, and when stories like this come by, they're made that much more refreshing.
I wasn't excluding myself when I said that part about being untalented or inorganized, btw.
