I was thinking more like the rock worm tunnels in and dies, leaving the eggs inside to hatch and the babies eat through their mothers flesh and feed on the corpse of the dead human.

Plushies would be great and they should ship with Premium Edition so that the new players could cuddle with them in between game sessions to drop some tension. I could totally do with one right now - looking at grunts dancing to Michael Jackson on youtube no longer helps.
