Simplest possible terms?

I'd like to start making custom stories, but I'm not at all tech savvy. Even the language used in the HPL2 Documentation makes my head spin. Can anyone help simplify the steps? It would be much appreciated.

You'll have to be more specific. Can you use the level editor effectively? You don't need to be particularly tech savvy to work it, it's like legos... in 3d.

I haven't even downloaded that yet. I always read up on something as much as I can before getting involved, habit really. I just noticed that I couldn't understand much of the documentation and would get lost soon after beginning. So, I figured "seek help immediately".

I'll download and tool around with it a bit later, much to do today.

Watch tutorials, that is what helped me. The first days it is just copying code and making basic rooms in the level editor. Now I can write almost most of my code myself, yay! I recommend watching YourComputer 's and Elven 's tutorials. They're worth your time.
