What.

Then again, it is the Daily Fail.
Pornographic literature is always more acceptable if it's written by and for women. That's just the way things are!

The tension really builds up and creates a quite foreboding atmosphere and Herman Melville is an amazing writer who can really make mundane things seem interesting. The incessant references to obscure historical characters and esoteric use of the English language can be quite frustrating, and the book sometimes loses focus because half of it is an encyclopedia of cetology, which actually is all imperative to understanding the plot because when they finally encounter Moby-Dick references to whaling techniques and whale anatomy are abundant. Technically I should hate it but for some reason I really love it.

You just gave me a boner, an I don't quite know why.

Google Pottermore; it's a website created by the writer that's filled with fucking loads of info, unavailable in the books. She basically had everything figured out and detailed in her head: character's back-stories, magic history, JefftheKiller still sucks, and interesting people and creatures you've never even heard mentioned.

Obviously H.P.Lovecraft.
Watchmen (Fucking Brilliant)
Most things by Steven Lawhead (If you love dark fantasy then read Hood; basically a sick twist on Robin Hood named The Raven King.)
I liked Hitchhiker's Guide

The rest I can't sort out at the moment.

RE: Favourite books?

My favorite? I'd have to say the Hunger Games. I read each of the series when they first came out (The first one about a week after it came out and the rest the day them came out). I also really enjoy The Mortal Instruments series, and I am ordering the 5th one in a couple days, or buying it when I go to the USA in a few days.

I've come to learn to not fear the living, nor the dead... But the monsters that hide in closets.
