Portal 2 had the most awesome plot twist ever. No exceptions. So Portal 2.

As of September 2nd, 2014, I've left the Frictional forums. Check my profile for more details.

I've been playing Pathologic, and it has the deepest, darkest plot, narrative and characters I've ever seen in a game.

FF VII, KOTOR ( 1 and 2 ) and Half Life was also always on the top of my list there.

It was a joke. Halfway through the game, Wheatley turns against you and GLaDOS becomes your ally. As for the best plot, don't know.

In terms of a classic plot, I'm going to have to go with Chrono Trigger.

But for best storywriting, I'm going to have to go with the campaigns of Heroes of Might and Magic IV. Anyone heard of it?

Amnesia, IMO. Most of the games I play are action-y or just fun. So not a lot of story focus, more like something that just helps the gameplay along, you know? Amnesia is the first game that I've seen incorporate the story directly into the gameplay smoothly.

I haven't "Finished" Oblivion yet, but from what I've seen it is a close second.
