Amnesia keeps crashing

Hey guys, I'm having a very frustrating issue which I can't solve.

Randomly while playing the game the program will crash and show my desktop (still running but not responding) I have tried everything, running in compapitility for vista/xp, unticking the "Read only" on the properties but it keeps rechecking its self to read only!

I'm getting pretty irate about this as I am unable to play the game due to the imminent crash coming up..

Please guys, I would really appreciate any help you can offer!

It seemed to start in june/july, before then I played with no problems, not sure if there was an update or not put out then, but other windows 7 users are having this problem

My pc :

Windows 7 64 bit
4GB DDR3
I7 2600k
HD4670

Graphics drivers are also updated.

Try re-installing the game or if using Steam check the cache integrity on the game in the Steam client.
