What to do with bar

I found a bar behind these barrels and the walkthrough says to break down the door with it. Could someone explain just how it is done?

If you are talking about the same place I think you are talking about, you need to put the bar between the door and its frame, and then use it like a crowbar.

it will atach atomatecly so no need to worry about poisitining it
