Extra_english.lang bug

Hey,
I got some problems with my Extra_english.lang file.

I'm busy with my own Custom Story. Everything went out fine by watching some videos and the support from people. But now it won't work.

First my Extra_english.lang file just worked out fine. But now I played the normal amnesia game again, it doesn't work anymore.
There is no discription in my custom story, notes got no text and keys got no text.
Everything saved in the same folder as normal. But there just comes nothing. Plz help me it's making me sick!Undecided

Does somebody know what I Did wrong? Do I have to chance it or must I write somewhere that the map must use that folder?

1) Make sure it's extra_english.lang, not Extra_english.lang.
2) Take out the <P> in "Note_text3_Text". I'm not sure what that does, I've never seen it used before.

Make sure that its called extra_english.lang and not Extra_english.lang. Also, somewhere in your post you said "My extra_english.lang folder"; don't put it in it's own folder, make sure that its in your custom story folder (for example: custom_stories\MyCustomStory\extra_english.lang). If it still doesn't work, double check that the file's extension is .lang (not extra_english.lang.txt or something).

It works again.
The problem was the <p> wich i copied for placing something there so i wouldnt forget. I thought it was nothing but it made it crash.

My little advice:

In hints and mementos, consider not writing in first-person. For instance, instead of writing "I can hear a loud sound behind this door.", write "A loud sound is coming from behind this door. (or something like that)"
This way it's easier to get into the main character.

But as I pointed out, it doesn't always have to be like that. If it's something like the character's diary, or something else that simply doesn't work in passive, it actually should be in first-person.

But this is just my opinion. :)
