You open the console with the button just to the left of the number 1 button on your keyboard. The upper set of numbers, not the numpad.

hmmm windix glow metioned this. it dosent work do i need to download something to get this console working?
edit:note that im using a windows xp. this may or may not be the problem.

No, it should work just when you install/extract the game.

Or set console = to true in the cfg file. You can founf it in the \unbirth_test\misc folder

i have gone to the misc folder but i cant seem to find a cfg file.any suggestions?i will keep looking in the meantime.
edit:also can you tell me witch folder to go into out of these four when i enter misc

theres a folder called keyboard. a aplication thing called text.atl. and these things called default and debug witch one do i go into?

edit:i managed to get in to the config file by opening it with notepad only to find out that the console was already set to true when i got there! so only one question remains why wont the console come up when i press ~!

whenever i start a new game the program exits and it says that unbirth has encountered a problem and needs to close and they are sorry for the inconvinionce.

yes i do have direct x 9.

I have an Ati x1250 graphic card.

You better contact the developer, but i doubt they can help you out much more than i did. Since they are not developing this game anymore. And they would have answering this question from the very start if they'd know how to fix this problem.

Why do you use directx in this project and not opengl ? :o
